SC Bank, EGBANK, and ADIB-Egypt are the fastest-growing listed banks in personal lending during the first nine months of 2025
SC Bank tops the list of the fastest-growing banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange in personal lending, with a growth rate of 82.3%… while EGBANK ranks second with a growth rate of 64.7%.
ADIB-Egypt secures the third place with a growth rate of 60%… and both saib and Al Baraka rank among the top five fastest-growing listed banks in personal lending, with growth rates of 38.9% and 35.6% respectively.
The First Bank list of the fastest-growing banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange in personal lending during the first nine months of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» topped the list, as its personal loan portfolio increased by 82.3% during the first nine months of the current year, reaching EGP 9.70 billion at the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 5.32 billion at the end of 2024.
The list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange, showed that all banks under analysis achieved positive growth rates in their total personal lending portfolios during the first nine months of 2025. It is worth noting that Faisal Islamic Bank was absent from the list due to not disclosing its figures.
Turning to the list, the Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGBANK» ranked second, as its portfolio surged by 64.7% to reach EGP 21.48 billion at the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 13.04 billion at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» came in third place, after its personal lending portfolio grew by approximately 60% during the first nine months of the year, reaching EGP 41.23 billion at the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 25.77 billion at the end of 2024.
The Arab International Bank «saib» ranked fourth, supported by a 38.9% increase in its personal lending volume during the first nine months of the current year, reaching EGP 23.30 billion at the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 16.77 billion at the end of 2024.
As for fifth place, it was secured by Al Baraka Bank, whose personal lending portfolio rose by 35.6% to reach EGP 16.51 billion at the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 12.18 billion at the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates referenced in the above analysis are based on the standalone financial statements disclosed by each bank as of the end of September 2025.
