QNB-Egypt, EBank, and SC Bank are the best EGX-listed banks in deposit utilization for granting loans by September 2025-End

QNB Egypt tops the list of the best EGX-listed banks in deposit utilization for granting loans with a utilization rate of 61.44% and EBank ranks second with a rate of 61.14%

Suez Canal Bank ranks third with a utilization rate of 61% and Al Baraka Bank and Crédit Agricole Egypt capture the fourth and fifth positions with utilization rates of 60.16% and 56.71% respectively

The First Bank list of the best EGX-listed banks in deposit utilization for granting loans by the end of September 2025 revealed that Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» topped the list with a utilization rate of 61.44% after its total customer loan portfolio recorded about 455.08 billion pounds while its deposit portfolio reached 740.74 billion pounds by the end of September 2025.

The First Bank list monitored deposit utilization rates for granting loans at all EGX-listed banks totaling 12 banks and revealed that 11 of them achieved utilization rates ranging between 38% and 61.44% by the end of September 2025 while Faisal Islamic Bank diverged from the trend of the remaining listed banks as it recorded the lowest utilization rate by the end of the same period.

Returning to the list the Export Development Bank of Egypt «EBank» captured the second place with a deposit utilization rate for granting loans of 61.14% after its total customer loan portfolio reached 89.46 billion pounds by the end of September 2025 while its deposit portfolio amounted to about 146.33 billion pounds by the end of the same period.

Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» came in third place with a utilization rate of 61% after its total customer loan portfolio rose to 109.61 billion pounds while its customer deposit portfolio reached 179.69 billion pounds by the end of September 2025.

Al Baraka Bank ranked fourth with a deposit utilization rate for granting loans of 60.16% after its total customer financing portfolio reached 71.33 billion pounds by the end of September 2025 while its deposit portfolio amounted to about 118.57 billion pounds by the end of the same period.

As for the fifth place it went to Crédit Agricole Egypt with a utilization rate of 56.71% after its total customer loan portfolio increased to 60.72 billion pounds while its customer deposit portfolio reached 107.07 billion pounds by the end of September 2025.

It is worth noting that all figures and utilization rates mentioned in the above analysis are according to the standalone financial statements announced by each bank by the end of September 2025.
