Emirates NBD, SC Bank and ABK-Egypt Fastest-Growing Banks in Retail Deposits During H1-2025

Emirates NBD-Egypt tops the list of the fastest-growing banks in retail deposits with a growth rate of 36.6%, while SC Bank secured second place with 33.4%.

ABK-Egypt ranked third with a growth rate of 25.1%, followed by saib and ADIB-Egypt in fourth and fifth places with 24.4% and 24.1%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.

Bank NXT, KFH-Egypt, and FABMISR were also among the top 10 fastest-growing banks in corporate lending, with growth rates of 20.5%, 19.5%, and 17.9%, respectively.

First Bank’s list of the fastest-growing banks in retail deposits during the first half of 2025 revealed that Emirates NBD-Egypt topped the ranking with a growth rate of 36.6%, Its Retail Deposits portfolio rose to EGP 62.97 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 46.1 billion at the end of 2024.

The list monitored the retail deposits of 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data. Results showed that 23 banks recorded positive growth in retail deposits during the first half of 2025, while two banks recorded a decline.

Suez Canal Bank came in second place, as its retail deposits increased by 33.4% to reach EGP 28.18 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 21.13 billion at the end of 2024.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» secured third place, recording a 25.1% jump to EGP 42.46 billion, up from EGP 33.93 billion at the end of 2024.

Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» ranked fourth with 24.4% growth, as retail deposits rose to EGP 49.71 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 39.95 billion at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» followed in fifth place with a 24.1% increase, bringing its retail deposits to EGP 107.71 billion, compared to EGP 86.80 billion at the end of 2024.

Bank NXT came sixth, with retail deposits up 20.5% to EGP 25.85 billion, versus EGP 21.45 billion in December 2024.

Kuwait Finance House Bank-Egypt took seventh place, recording 19.5% growth to EGP 30.60 billion, compared to EGP 25.61 billion previously.

First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» followed in eighth place, as retail deposits rose by 17.9% to EGP 67.49 billion by June 2025, against EGP 57.25 billion at the end of 2024.

In ninth place, National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» recorded 16.6% growth, with retail deposits climbing to EGP 83.33 billion from EGP 71.46 billion.

Finally, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» ranked tenth, as retail deposits grew 16.3% to EGP 26.79 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 23.04 billion at the end of 2024.
