«CIB», «ADIB-Egypt», and «QNB-Egypt» Lead Listed Banks on the First Bank Depositor Confidence Index During the First 9 Months of 2025

«CIB» topped the list of banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange on the First Bank Depositor Confidence Index, recording an increase of EGP 75.31 billion, while «ADIB-Egypt» ranked second with an increase of EGP 63.55 billion.

«QNB-Egypt» came in third with an increase of EGP 58.88 billion, while «SC Bank» and «saib» captured the fourth and fifth positions with increases of EGP 44.22 billion and EGP 32.75 billion, respectively.

The First Bank Depositor Confidence Index for banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange during the first 9 months of 2025 revealed that Commercial International Bank «CIB» claimed the top position on the index, as its customer deposits portfolio rose by EGP 75.31 billion during the first 9 months of the current year, reaching EGP 1.04 trillion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 967.90 billion at the end of 2024.

The First Bank Depositor Confidence Index monitored the value of increases in deposit portfolios across all banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange, numbering 12 banks, during the first 9 months of 2025, with data showing that all of them succeeded in increasing their deposit portfolios.

The First Bank Depositor Confidence Index is an index that was launched to measure savers’ trends and their confidence in placing deposits and certificates with Egyptian banks over a specific period of time. The index is based on the value of the increase in deposit balances at banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange, such that the bank receiving the largest volume of new deposits during the first 9 months of 2025 ranks first on the index.

The index showed that total customer deposits at banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange increased by around EGP 351.07 billion during the first 9 months of the current year, reaching EGP 3.29 trillion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 2.94 trillion at the end of 2024.

Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» captured second place, as its customer deposits portfolio increased by EGP 63.55 billion during the first 9 months of the current year, reaching EGP 263.83 billion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 200.28 billion at the end of 2024.

Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» ranked third, as its total customer deposits jumped by EGP 58.88 billion during the first 9 months of the current year, reaching EGP 740.74 billion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 681.86 billion at the end of 2024.

Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» ranked fourth, with its customer deposits portfolio increasing by EGP 44.22 billion during the first 9 months of the year, reaching EGP 179.69 billion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 135.47 billion at the end of 2024.

Arab International Banking Company «saib» captured fifth place, after its customer deposits portfolio increased by EGP 32.75 billion during the first 9 months of the year, reaching EGP 150.21 billion at the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 117.45 billion at the end of 2024.

It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on the standalone financial statements disclosed by each bank as of the end of September 2025.
