«SC Bank», «ADIB-Egypt», and «EGBANK» are the fastest-growing listed banks in retail banking during the first 9 months of 2025

«SC Bank» tops the list of the fastest-growing listed banks in retail banking during the first 9 months of 2025 with a growth rate of 64.5%, while «ADIB-Egypt» ranks second with a growth rate of 50%.

«EGBANK» secures third place with a growth rate of 47%, while «saib» and «Al Baraka» occupy the fourth and fifth positions with growth rates of 37.3% and 31.2%, respectively.

The First Bank list of the fastest-growing banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange in retail banking during the first 9 months of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» ranked first, after its retail banking portfolio recorded an average growth of about 64.5% during the first 9 months of 2025, this was driven by the increase in its individual loans portfolio to EGP 9.91 billion by the end of last September, reflecting a growth rate of 80.4%, while the bank’s individual deposits reached EGP 31.39 billion, recording a growth rate of 48.6% during the same period of the current year.

The list, which included all banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange, totaling 12 banks, showed that all of them achieved positive growth rates in their total retail banking portfolios during the first 9 months of 2025, according to the standalone financial statements announced by each bank.

The ranking was based on a composite index developed by First Bank to measure bank growth in both individual loans and individual deposits portfolios.

Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» claimed second place after its retail banking portfolio increased by an average of about 50% during the first 9 months of 2025, as its individual financing portfolio rose by approximately 56.8% to reach EGP 43.36 billion by the end of last September, while its individual deposits portfolio recorded EGP 124.15 billion with a growth rate of 43% during the same period of the current year.

EGBANK secured third place after its retail banking portfolios grew by an average of 47% during the first 9 months of 2025, supported by the rise in its individual loans portfolio to EGP 31.16 billion by the end of last September, reflecting a growth rate of 94.2%, in contrast, the volume of individual deposits declined to EGP 24.54 billion, recording a rate of 0.29% during the same period of the current year.

In fourth place came the Arab International Banking Company «saib», with an average growth rate of about 37.3% in its total retail banking portfolio, driven by the increase in its individual loans portfolio to EGP 26.93 billion with a growth rate of 36.2%, and the rise in its individual deposits portfolio to EGP 55.29 billion with a growth rate of 38.4% during the first 9 months of 2025.

As for fifth place, it went to Al Baraka Bank, as its total retail banking portfolio increased by an average of 31.2% during the first 9 months of the current year, driven by a growth rate of 35.7% in its individual financing portfolio, which reached EGP 16.99 billion by the end of September 2025, along with the increase in its individual deposits portfolio to EGP 79.39 billion with a growth rate of 26.6% during the same period of the current year.
