EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.943 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index rose against major currencies at the end of trading on wednesday 4 February 2026, where the value of the index rose to 39,943 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,895 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on tuesday.

The rise of the Pound index came as a result of its rise against the dollar, the UAE dirham, the Saudi riyal, the Japanese yen, and the Chinese yuan, while it decline against the euro, and the pound sterling at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.04 to EGP 46.97 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 46.94 to EGP 46.87 at the end of the day's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen also fell from EGP 30.17 to EGP 29.97 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 30.10 to EGP 29.91 at the end of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham fell from EGP 12.81 to EGP 12.79 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt fell from EGP 12.78 to EGP 12.76 by the close of trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.54 to EGP 12.52 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 12.51 to EGP 12.49 at the end of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 6.78 to EGP 6.76 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 6.76 to EGP 6.75 .

While the average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 55.49 to EGP 55.51 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 55.37 to EGP 55.38 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 64.32 to EGP 64.44 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 64.17 to EGP 64.28 .
