EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.098 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index decrease against major currencies at the end of trading on thursday 26 February 2026, where the value of the index fell to 39,098 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,141 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on wednesday.
The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its fell against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Japanese yen, the Chinese yuan. and its stability against the UAE dirham, the Saudi riyal, while its rose against at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 56.50 to EGP 56.62 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 56.38 to EGP 56.49 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the pound sterling rose from EGP 64.77 to EGP 64.96 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 64.62 to EGP 64.81 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen rose from EGP 30.60 to EGP 30.74 and the average purchase price rose from EGP 30.54 to EGP 30.68 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 6.98 to EGP 7.01 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 6.97 to EGP 6.99 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal stabilized at EGP 12.79 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 12.76 .
the average selling price of the UAE dirham stabilized at EGP 13.06 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt stabilized at EGP 13.03 .
While the average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.98 to EGP 47.97 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 47.88 to EGP 47.87 by the close of trading.
