EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.898 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index fell slightly against major currencies at the end of trading on wednesday 11 February 2026, where the value of the index fell to 39,898 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,905 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on tuesday.
The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its fell against the Japanese yen, and its stability against the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal, while its rise against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen also rose from EGP 30.23 to EGP 30.54 and the average purchase price rose from EGP 30.17 to EGP 30.47 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan stabilized at EGP 6.78 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 6.77 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal stabilized at EGP 12.50 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 12.48 to EGP 12.47 .
the average selling price of the UAE dirham stabilized at EGP 12.77 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt stabilized at EGP 12.74 .
While the average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 46.91 to EGP 46.90 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 46.81 to EGP 46.80 .
The average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 55.87 to EGP 55.82 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 55.74 to EGP 55.70 .
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 64.21 to EGP 64.17at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 64.03 to EGP 64.02 by the close of trading.
