EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.827 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index increase against major currencies at the end of trading on tuesday 17 February 2026, where the value of the index fell to 39,827 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,995 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on monday.
The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its fell against the US dollar, the euro, the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, the Saudi riyal, the Chinese yuan while its rose against the pound sterling at the end of today's trading.
While the average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 46.82 to EGP 47.06 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 46.72 to EGP 46.96 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 55.52 to EGP 55.68 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 55.39 to EGP 55.55 .
While the average selling price of the Japanese yen rose from EGP 30.54 to EGP 30.73 and the average purchase price rose from EGP 30.46 to EGP 30.67 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal rose from EGP 12.48 to EGP 12.55 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price rose from EGP 12.45 to EGP 12.52 .
the average selling price of the UAE dirham rose from EGP 12.75 to EGP 12.81 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt rose from EGP 12.72 to EGP 12.78 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 6.77 to EGP 6.81 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 6.76 to EGP 6.79 .
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 63.90 to EGP 63.81 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 63.75 to EGP 63.66 at the end of today’s trading.
