At a time of intensifying challenges within the banking sector, Hazem Hegazy has been recognized by First Bank as one of Egypt’s premier executive leaders.

Under his leadership, Al Baraka Bank Egypt has reinforced its standing within the Islamic banking landscape, successfully strengthening its market position and expanding its competitive footprint across the sector.

He has also led the bank to achieve notable progress in retail banking, positioning it as the second largest Islamic bank in Egypt in terms of retail lending.

At the same time, he spearheaded the launch of a comprehensive suite of competitive, Sharia-compliant products tailored to meet the evolving needs of both individual and corporate clients, further enhancing the bank’s value proposition and market reach.

During 2025, the bank sustained its strong growth trajectory, delivering solid financial results across all key performance indicators, driven by resilient core revenues and continued expansion in business volumes.

Al Baraka Bank Egypt recorded a 33.5% increase in net profit, reaching EGP 4.02 bn during 2025.

Net interest income rose by 24.9% to EGP 7.46 bn during 2025, underscoring the strength of the bank’s core banking operations.

Meanwhile, net fees and commissions income grew by 20.1% to EGP 1.03 bn during 2025, reflecting ongoing efforts to diversify income streams and enhance the bank’s product offering.

On the balance sheet side, total assets expanded by 14.2% to EGP 145.89 bn by the end of 2025, supported by sustained business momentum.

Customer deposits increased by 15.2% to EGP 122.72 bn, while the bank’s financing portfolio recorded a robust growth of 25.3%, reaching EGP 75.90 bn by the end of 2025.
