EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 35.740 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index witnessed increase against major currencies by the end of trading on Tuesday 13 April, stabilized to 35.740 points compared to 35.438 points at the close of last Thursday.

The rise of the pound index came as a result of its rose against the US dollar, the euro, the , the Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal, at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar decreased from EGP 53.18 to EGP 52.56  , while the average buying price fell from EGP 53.08 to EGP 52.46 by the close of trading.

The euro’s average selling price decreased from EGP 62.12 to EGP 62 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 62 to EGP61.88 .

The Chinese yuan’s average selling price decreased from EGP 7.76 to EGP 7.69 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 7.78 to EGP 7.71.

The Japanese yen’s average selling price decreased from EGP 33.44 to EGP 33.09 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 33.37 to EGP 33.03 .

The UAE dirham’s average selling price decreased from EGP 14.48 to EGP 14.31 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 14.45 to EGP 14.28 .

The Saudi riyal’s average selling price decreased from EGP 14.17 to EGP 14 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 14.14 to EGP 13.98.

Meanwhile, The British pound’s selling price rose from EGP 71.33 to EGP 71.36 , while the average buying price increased from EGP 71.19 to EGP 71.21 .
