EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 36.236 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index witnessed increase against major currencies by the end of trading on thursday 15 April, rose to 36.236 points compared to 36.106 points at the close of yesterday’s session.

The rise of the pound index came as a result of its rose against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar decreased from EGP 52.05  to EGP 51.87, while the average buying price fell from EGP 51.95 to EGP 51.77 by the close of trading.

The euro’s average selling price decreased from EGP 61.33 to EGP 61.11, while the average buying price fell from EGP 61.21 to EGP 60.99 .

The British pound’s selling price decreased from EGP 70.55 to EGP 70.28, while the average buying price fell from EGP 70.40 to EGP 70.11 .

The Chinese yuan’s average selling price decreased from EGP 7.63 to EGP 7.60 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 7.62  to EGP 7.59 .

The Japanese yen’s average selling price decreased from EGP 32.72 to EGP 32.60 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 32.65 to EGP 32.54 .

The UAE dirham’s average selling price decreased from EGP 14.17 to EGP 14.12 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 14.14 to EGP 14.09 .

The Saudi riyal’s average selling price decreased from EGP 13.87 to EGP 13.83 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 13.85 to EGP 13.79 .
