EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 36.141 points at today's trading
The Egyptian pound index witnessed a decline against major currencies at the end of trading on Monday, April 20, falling to 36.141 points compared to 36.298 points at the close of Sunday's session.
The decline in the pound index came as a result of its fall against the US dollar, the euro, the British pound, the UAE dirham, the Saudi riyal, the Chinese yuan, and the Japanese yen, at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 51.79 to EGP 52.03 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 51.69 to EGP 51.93 by the close of trading.
The euro’s average selling price rose from EGP 60.93 to EGP 61.18 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 60.80 to EGP 61.06 .
The British pound’s selling price rose from EGP 70.01 to EGP 70.29, while the average buying price rose from EGP 69.86 to EGP 70.15.
The Chinese yuan selling price rose from EGP 7.60 to EGP 7.63, while the average buying price rose from EGP 7.58 to EGP 7.62.
The Japanese yen selling price rose from EGP 32.65 to EGP 32.74 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 32.58 to EGP 32.67.
The UAE dirham’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.10 to EGP 14.17 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.07 to EGP 14.14.
The Saudi riyal’s average selling price rose from EGP 13.81 to EGP 13.87 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 13.78 to EGP 13.84 .
