Al Rajhi Bank records the highest profits among Arab banks in the first quarter of 2026

The latest rankings by “First Bank” revealed that Al Rajhi Bank has topped the list of the most profitable Arab banks in the region during the first quarter of 2026.

This achievement was supported by net profits of $1.80 billion in Q1 2026, compared to $1.58 billion during the same period in 2025, reflecting a growth rate of 14.4%.

The ranking was based on ordering banks according to their announced net profits, converted into U.S. dollars, providing a unified comparison tool across different banking institutions. It also excluded banks lacking official data to ensure accuracy and reliability of the methodology.

Overall, Al Rajhi Bank delivered strong performance this year, with income from financing and investments rising by approximately 18.4% to reach $2.24 billion in Q1 2026, compared to $1.89 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.

Banking service fees increased to $427.21 million in the first three months of 2026, up from $365.96 million during the same period in 2025, marking a growth rate of 16.7%.

Its customer deposits portfolio grew by about 1.7% during Q1 2026, reaching $180.85 billion by the end of March 2026, compared to $177.91 billion at the end of 2025.

Net financing rose to $200.83 billion by the end of March 2026, compared to $200.69 billion at the end of 2025, representing a quarterly growth rate of 0.1%.

Shareholders’ equity increased to $40.67 billion by the end of March 2026, up from $38.10 billion at the end of 2025, reflecting approximately 6.7% growth on a quarterly basis.
