Faisal Islamic Bank and Suez Canal Bank Lead Banking Stocks Gainers at the Close of Today's Trading Session
Trading data from today's session on the Egyptian Exchange showed positive performance across most listed banking stocks, with 10 stocks closing higher, while two stocks ended the session lower.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP-denominated shares) topped the list of gainers after its share price rose 1.89% to close at 37.24 EGP, compared with 36.55 EGP at the opening of the session.
Suez Canal Bank ranked second among the top-performing banking stocks, advancing 1.76% to close at 38.23 EGP, up from 37.57 EGP at the open. It was followed by Housing & Development Bank, whose share price gained 1.55% to close at 84.29 EGP, compared with 83.00 EGP at the beginning of trading.
Crédit Agricole Egypt rose 1.18% to close at 24.05 EGP, versus 23.77 EGP at the opening, while Export Development Bank of Egypt gained 1.00%, ending the session at 20.20 EGP, compared with 20.00 EGP at the start of trading.
The United Bank recorded a 0.88% gain, closing at 13.68 EGP, compared with 13.56 EGP at the opening of the session. It was followed by ADIB Egypt, whose share price rose 0.66% to close at 53.20 EGP.
Meanwhile, QNB Egypt advanced 0.63%, closing at 55.64 EGP, compared with 55.29 EGP at the beginning of trading.
Meanwhile, Commercial International Bank advanced 0.35%, closing at 141.50 EGP, versus 141.00 EGP at the opening.
On the downside, Al Baraka Bank Egypt declined 0.91% to close at 21.77 EGP, compared with 21.97 EGP at the opening of the session.
Egyptian Gulf Bank also fell 1.47%, closing at 0.470 USD, compared with 0.477 USD at the opening.
