Performance of Listed Banking Stocks at the Close of Today's Trading Session

Trading data from today's session on the Egyptian Exchange showed mixed performance among listed banking stocks, with seven stocks closing higher, while five stocks ended the session lower.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (USD-denominated shares) topped the list of gainers after its share price rose 1.24% to close at 0.979 USD, compared with 0.967 USD at the opening of the session.
Crédit Agricole Egypt ranked second among the top-performing banking stocks, advancing 0.96% to close at 24.30 EGP, up from 24.07 EGP at the open. It was followed by Egyptian Gulf Bank, whose share price gained 0.83% to close at 0.488 USD, compared with 0.484 USD at the beginning of trading.
The United Bank rose 0.80% to close at 13.91 EGP, versus 13.80 EGP at the opening. It was followed by Al Baraka Bank Egypt, which gained 0.74% to close at 21.83 EGP, compared with 21.67 EGP at the start of the session.
Housing & Development Bank also posted a 0.21% increase, closing at 84.00 EGP, compared with 83.82 EGP at the opening, while Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP-denominated shares) edged up 0.08% to close at 37.10 EGP, versus 37.07 EGP at the beginning of trading.
On the downside, Export Development Bank of Egypt declined 0.14% to close at 20.70 EGP, compared with 20.73 EGP at the opening. It was followed by Commercial International Bank, whose share price fell 0.48% to close at 140.23 EGP, down from 140.90 EGP at the start of the session.
QNB Egypt slipped 0.61% to close at 55.53 EGP, compared with 55.87 EGP at the opening, while Suez Canal Bank declined 0.93% to close at 38.44 EGP, versus 38.80 EGP at the beginning of trading.
ADIB Egypt recorded the steepest decline among the major banking stocks, falling 1.01% to close at 51.82 EGP, compared with 52.35 EGP at the opening of the session.
