At the sector level, the data showed that the first 17 banks in the ranking, out of 25, exceeded the sector’s average CAGR of 42.1 per cent over the past three years, while the remaining banks recorded growth rates below that average over the same period.
Among the foreign banks included in the ranking, four secured places among the 10 fastest-growing credit card teams over the past three years out of 11 foreign banks covered by the ranking: Al Baraka Bank Egypt, KFH Egypt, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt (ADCB Egypt), and National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (NBK Egypt).
The ranking also showed that Egypt’s two largest state-owned banks were absent from the leading positions, with Banque Misr’s credit card team ranking 11th and National Bank of Egypt’s (NBE) credit card team ranking 20th.
