The United Bank, ADIB-Egypt lead corporate deposit growth in H1 2026
The United Bank tops the ranking after surging from 15th place in 2025 to first in just six months

The United Bank topped First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing banks operating in Egypt by corporate deposits in the first half of 2026, climbing from 15th place in the 2025 ranking to first in just six months.
The bank's corporate deposit portfolio grew 46.4 per cent to EGP 41.12bn at end-June 2026, from EGP 28.09bn at end-2025, reflecting an acceleration in deposit growth and the bank’s increasing ability to attract liquidity.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB-Egypt) ranked second, with corporate deposits rising 28.7 per cent during the first half of 2026 to EGP 184.71bn, from EGP 143.52bn at end-2025.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt secured third place after its corporate deposit portfolio expanded approximately 25 per cent to EGP 7.29bn at end-June 2026, compared with EGP 5.84bn at end-2025.
First Bank’s ranking tracked corporate deposit growth across 24 banks operating in Egypt for which financial data were available. Of these, 20 recorded increases during the first half of 2026, while four registered significant declines.
Only three banks retained their places among the top 10 in both the 2025 and H1 2026 rankings. ADIB-Egypt advanced from sixth to second place, Faisal Islamic Bank held third, while Housing and Development Bank (HDB) climbed from ninth to sixth.
Islamic banks secured two places among the 10 fastest-growing banks by corporate deposits, out of the four included in the ranking. ADIB-Egypt and Faisal Islamic Bank were the only Islamic banks to feature among the leading institutions.
QNB Egypt retained its position as the largest private-sector bank in corporate deposits, with EGP 576.63bn at end-June 2026. Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) followed in second place, with EGP 562.52bn.
