NBE, Banque Misr, And CIB, Are Largest Banks In The Market Share Of Assets In The Banking Sector

National Bank of Egypt topped Firstbank list with a market share of 34.94% of total assets of the banking sector, with a value of EGP3.781 Tn, by the end of September 2022.

Banque Misr came in second place, with a market share of 18.21% of total assets of  by the end of September 2022, after the bank’s total assets recorded EGP1.971 Tn at the end of the same period last year.

Commercial International Bank occupied the third place, with a market share of 5.45%, at a value of EGP590.4 bn , by the end of September 2022, and QNB AlAhli came fourth, with a market share of 4.07%, with a value of EGP440.9 bn at the end of the same period.

Banque du Caire ranked fifth, with a market share of 2.74%, at a value of EGP 296.9 bn pounds, by the end of September 2022, followed by Arab African Investment Bank, with a market share of 2.57%, at a value of EGP278.5 bn at the end of last September.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt came in seventh place after its market share of  total assets  reached 1.31% by the end of September 2022, followed by Alex Bank with a market share of 1.16%  at the end of the same period.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt came in ninth place, with a market share of 0.96% at the end of last September, followed by the Housing and Development Bank in the tenth place, with a market share of 0.95%  by the end of September 2022.

It should be noted that all values ​​and market shares above, are according to separated financial statements announced for each bank at the period ending on September of 2022.
