HD Bank, CIB, QNB Al Ahli And Suez Canal Bank, Are Fastest Growing Listed Banks In Individuals Deposits At 2022
Housing and Development Bank Tops of First bank list with a growth rate of 21.36%, after its total individuals deposits portfolio jumped to record EGP 27.2 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 22.4 bn at the end of December 2021.
Commercial International Bank – Egypt took second place with a growth rate of 18.41% over the past year, after its total individuals deposits portfolio increased to EGP 268 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 226.2 bn at the end of December 2021.
Qatar National Bank Al Ahli came in third place, with a growth rate of 15.63% over the past year, after its total individuals deposits portfolio increased to record EGP 144.7 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 125.1 bn at the end of December 2021.
As for the fourth place, Suez Canal Bank's total individuals deposits portfolio jumped at a growth rate of 14.29% over the past year, from EGP11.2 bn at the end of December 2021, and reach EGP 12.8 bn at the end of December 2022.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt came fifth, with a growth rate of 12.13% over the past year, after its total individuals deposits portfolio increased to EGP 119.6 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP106.6 bn at the end of December 2021.
It should be noted that all values and growth rates mentioned above, are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank at the end of December 2022.
