E Bank, Credit Agricole Bank And Faisal Bank, Top Listed Banks In Terms Of Deposit Coverage Ratio By End Of 2022

Export Development Bank of Egypt  topped FirstBank list in asset coverage ratio for deposits at a rate of 132.76% at the end of last year, after total assets portfolio reached EGP96.7 bn, while total deposits portfolio recorded EGP72.9 bn by the end of December 2022.

Credit Agricole Bank – Egypt ranked second, after recording its asset coverage ratio for deposits of 124.17% at the end of last December, with total assets reached EGP75.1 bn, while total deposits portfolio reached EGP60.5 bn by the end of December 2022.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt came in third place, after its deposit coverage ratio recorded 122.66% at the end of last December, total assets portfolio reached EGP151.6 bn, while total deposits portfolio recorded EGP123.6 bn by the end of December 2022.

EGBANK ranked fourth with a deposit coverage ratio of 120.93% at the end of December of last year, after its total assets portfolio reached EGP86.7 bn, while total deposits portfolio reached EGP 71.7 bn by the end of December 2022.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt came fifth, with a deposit coverage ratio of 119.53% at the end of last year, after its total assets portfolio reached EGP 633.6 bn, while total deposits portfolio reached EGP530.1 bn by the end of December 2022, followed by saib  with 118.45. % at the end of the same period.

It should be noted that all values ​​and deposit coverage ratios mentioned above, are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank at the end of December 2022.
