Egypt's Prime Minister: Egypt has not missed any of its international obligations
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said: "Egypt has not and will not fail to pay any international obligations, as they are constants in Egyptian politics, and in the state’s doctrine, so Egypt fully respects its obligations, and the evidence is that until this moment we have not been late in paying any obligations."
He pointed out that there are many reports of international institutions that talk about the global economic crisis, and its effects of this crisis on Egypt, many institutions wondering the extent of Egypt's ability to pay its financial obligations, accordingly, Egypt marked as being unable to pay.
Madbouly explained that the rumors from these institutions about Egypt's inability to pay its obligations were during the first period of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis saying that the Egyptian state would not be able to overcome 2022 unless it failed, but today the biggest proof is that we were able to overcome this matter, in 2023, we confirm to all citizens that Egypt is able to pay all its obligations, and it is a message to all citizens.
The Prime Minister stressed the existence of full coordination on a daily basis between the government and CBE by biweekly meetings.
He also pointed out that this matter is not necessary to be shown in the media on a daily basis, stressing that all these matters have controls and a policy by the state that works within its framework. Based on this, there is complete coordination and full commitment to obligations.
