Suez Canal Bank, EBank, and alBaraka bank top listed banks in focusing on corporate loans by March-2023end
Suez Canal Bank claimed the first position after 91.5% of its total customer loans, amounting to EGP 36.55 bn by the end of March 2023, were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio valued at EGP 33.445 bn during the same period.
The list measures the investment trends of 11 listed banks in the Egyptian Stock Exchange, specifically in terms of corporate loans. It relies on the ratio of (Corporate Loans/Total Customer Loans) as a indicator of the bank's portfolio concentration in the category of corporate loans.
Moving on to the list, EBank secured the second position with 89.97% of its total customer loans, valued at EGP 52.685 bn, concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio worth EGP 47.399 bn by the end of March 2023.
alBaraka Bank ranked third on the list, as 86.38% of its total customer loans, amounting to EGP 32.795 bn, were concentrated in the corporate loan portfolio by the end of March 2023. The bank's total customer loan portfolio reached EGP 37.966 bn during the same period.
Faisal Islamic Bank Egypt secured the fourth position, with corporate loans accounting for 82.12% of its total customer loans valued at EGP 12.56 bn. The bank's total customer loan portfolio amounted to EGP 15.295 bn by the end of March 2023.
Qatar National Bank Al Ahli ranked fifth after 81% of its total customer loans, valued at EGP 247.883 bn, were concentrated in corporate loan portfolio, which reached EGP 200.788 bn by the end of March 2023.
