The Egyptian pound index Increased 0.152 points against the major of currencies over the week where it rose to 52.765, compared to 53.613 points at last Thursday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index increased against 3 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It rose against the Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen Chinese yuan, it fell against Euro, and settled against the UAE Dirham, US dollar, Saudi riyal.
The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 34.57 to EGP 34.71 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate increased from EGP 33.46 to EGP 34.59.
The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt fell from EGP 40.44 to EGP 39.96,over the week's trading while the average buying price decreased from EGP 40.31 to EGP 39.82.
The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 22.34 to EGP 22.10, while the buying rate fell from EGP 21.26 to EGP 22.03.
The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 4.31 to EGP 4.28 while the buying ratedeclined from EGP 4.30 to EGP 4.27.
The average selling rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.24 at the end of the day's trading, while buying price settled at EGP 8.22at the week's trading.
The average selling rate of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP30.93 while the average buying price settled at EGP 30.84.
The average selling rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42, while buying price settled at EGP 8.39over a week's trading.
