Corporate loans at saib grow by 15% during H1-2023

The financial statements of saib ending in June 2023, revealed a total growth of corporate loans in the bank by a rate of 14.8%, with an increase of EGP4.574 bn during the first half of the current year.

This brought the total corporate loans to approximately EGP35.473 bn by the end of June 2023, compared to EGP30.900 bn at the end of December 2022, constituting 75.83% of the total customer loans in the bank.

Additionally, the current account portfolio in the bank increased by 11.77% with an increase of EGP 1.396 bn during the first half of the current year, reaching EGP 13.258 bn by the end of June 2023, compared to EGP11.863 bn at the end of December 2022.

 

Furthermore, total direct loan portfolio in the bank increased by 16% during the first half of the current year, reaching approximately EGP 8.148 bn by the end of June 2023, compared to EGP7.024 bn at the end of December 2022, with an increase of about EGP 1.125 bn.

 

Syndicated loan portfolio in the bank also increased by 17.24% with an increase of EGP2.016 bn during the first half of the current year, reaching approximately EGP 13.709 bn by the end of June 2023, compared to EGP11.692 bn at the end of December 2022. Additionally, the size of other loan portfolios increased by 11.43% during the same period.

It's worth noting that the total loans and facilities to customers increased by 11.72% with an increase of about EGP4.908 bn during the first half of the current year, reaching EGP46.777 bn by the end of June 2023, compared to EGP41.869 bn at the end of December 2022.
