The collaboration involves a three-million Egyptian pound contribution from saib bank to establish a radiology room and examination facilities at the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Center in Cairo. Additionally, it includes support for open-heart surgeries and training for 8 nurses over a year. This partnership reflects saib bank's commitment to social responsibility and its efforts to add value to the communities it serves. The protocol was signed by Tarek El Khouly, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of saib, and Dina El gazar, Vice President for Development and Fundraising at the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Heart Diseases. The signing ceremony was attended by Tarek Abdo, Deputy Managing Director for Business and Banking Operations, Amr Nasr, Assistant Deputy Managing Director for Retail Banking and Branches, the marketing and institutional communication team, along with Mai Badawi, Development Advisor at the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Heart Diseases, and Maha Saud, Head of Donor Relations. Tarek El Khouly emphasized that saib bank's support for the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Heart Diseases aligns with the bank's social responsibility, aiming to actively contribute to serving the community. He highlighted the bank's significant focus on directing donations and contributions towards non-profit developmental entities that aim to enhance and develop society on various levels. In the same context, Dina El Jazar emphasized the importance of donations received by the foundation from various sources, greatly enhancing the foundation's ability to fulfill its mission and improve the quality of healthcare it provides. She expressed deep gratitude to saib bank for their donation, reflecting the bank's commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts and improving healthcare services in the community. Tarek Abdo, Deputy Managing Director for Business and Banking Operations at saib bank, pointed out that the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Heart Diseases represents a unique medical institution, employing the latest methods and technologies in the field of heart diseases, providing free treatment to all segments of society. He highlighted the importance of collaboration to contribute to the improvement of the health of those in need, aligning with the bank's social responsibility. This new protocol with the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Heart Diseases is a continuation of the close cooperation and successful partnership between the bank and the foundation, which began in 2021. It's noteworthy that the bank previously donated to the foundation for heart catheterization procedures for children with special needs (Down syndrome) at the Aswan Heart Center in 2021. The bank also supported the construction of facilities at the new Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Center in Cairo and launched donation campaigns during the past two Ramadan months, resulting in contributions from saib credit and prepaid cardholders, enabling open-heart surgeries.
