ADIB Egypt, saib, and EGBANK, Fastest-growing listed banks in shareholders’ Equity At 9M-2023

 According to First Bank list, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt led with a growth rate of 48.08%, reaching EGP 12.77 bn by September 2023.

Shareholders’ Equity refers to what remains for owners after deducting all obligations from total bank assets, reflecting shareholders’ Equity in the bank’s assets.

The report revealed that all listed banks achieved positive growth rates in their total equity portfolios during the period from January to September 2023. Saib secured the second position with a growth rate of 37%, raising its total equity from EGP8.49 bn in December 2022 to EGP 11.63 bn by September 2023.

EGBANK, Egyptian Gulf Bank, took the third position with a growth rate of 33.18% in the first 9 months of the current year, increasing its total equity to EGP7.08 bn by September 2023, compared to EGP 5.32 bn by December 2022.

Credit Agricole Egypt claimed the fourth position with a growth rate of 32.40%, reaching a total equity of EGP 13.14 bn by September 2023, up from EGP 9.93 bn in December 2022.

HD Bank secured the fifth position, experiencing a growth rate of 32.33%, recording EGP13.69 bn in total equity by September 2023, compared to EGP10.34 bn by December 2022.

Suez Canal Bank and EBank followed with growth rates of 24.51% and 19.83% respectively during the same period.

It’s worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned are based on separate financial statements declared by each bank at the end of September 2023.
