According to First Bank list, saib topped Fastest-growing listed banks in financial investments At 9M-2023 with a growth rate of 47.26%, reaching a total portfolio of EGP33.106 bn by September 2023.
The list, comprising 11 banks listed on the Egyptian stock exchange, revealed that 6 banks achieved positive growth rates in the total value of their financial investment portfolios and t-bills during the first 9 months of the current year.
Meanwhile, 5 banks experienced a decline in their total financial investments during the period from January to September 2023.
Returning to the list, al Baraka bank claimed the second position with a growth rate of 40.86% during the first 9 months of the current year, reaching a total investment portfolio and t-bills of EGP44.587 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP31.654 bn at the end of December 2022.
In third place, Credit Agricole – Egypt
Achieved a growth rate of 39.92% during the first 9 months of the current year, recording a total financial investment of approximately EGP18.339 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP13.106 bn at the end of December 2022.
Qatar National Bank AL AHLI secured the fourth position with a growth rate of 29.52% during the first 9 months of the current year. The total portfolio of financial investments and treasury bills at the bank rose to EGP226.5 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP174.9 bn at the end of December 2022.
EGBANK occupied the fifth position with a growth rate of 14.17% during the first 9 months of the current year. The total financial investments reached approximately EGP40.967 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP35.881 bn at the end of December 2022.
It is worth noting that all the values and growth rates mentioned in the analysis are based on separate financial statements announced by each bank at the end of September 2023.
