Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 23 November with Increase in the market cap by 3.6% to record EGP 416.053 bn compared to EGP 401.434 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.34% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 25.34 mn which represents 16.54% of the total trading volume today after 11.778 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.80% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.96% and 25.563 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.63% to record 5.095 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.89% to record 7.471 points.
