CBE raised daily cash withdrawal limits to EGP 250,000 for corporates and individuals

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) today issued a new statement regarding cash withdrawals, which stated that with referring to the statement issued on August 25, 2022 on the cap for cash withdrawals and deposits from both bank branches and ATMs.

As part of the Central Bank's interest to provide further facilitation to citizens and corporates, it has been decided to increase the daily limit of cash withdrawals from bank branches to EGP 250,000 for individuals and corporates, and from ATMs to EGP 30,000.

The statement emphasized the revision of your bank's internal policy to apply the limits set above, with updating your bank's foreign currency cash withdrawal cap policy and approving it by the Board of Directors and periodically updating it.
