EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 38.796 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during August 6 2024, the index reached 38.796 points, compared to 38.672 points at yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index increased against all currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, US dollar, Japanese Yen, Euro, pound sterling, and Chinese Yuan.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 49.30 to EGP 49.26 while the average buying increased from EGP 49.20 to EGP 49.16 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt declined from EGP 53.99 to EGP53.73 while the average buying rose from EGP 53.87 to EGP 53.62 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 62.86 to EGP 62.56 while the average buying declined from EGP 62.70 to EGP 62.43 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 34.54 to EGP 33.88 while the average buying decreased from EGP 34.46 to EGP 33.81 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 6.91 to EGP 6.88 while the average buying decreased from EGP 6.90 to EGP 6.87 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 13.13 to EGP 13.12 while the average buying declined from EGP 13.10 to EGP 13.09 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt fell from EGP 13.42 at EGP 13.41 at the end of today's trading while the average buying fell from EGP 13.39 to EGP 13.38.
