EGP index declined against a basket of major currencies to 38.751 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during August 8 2024, the index reached 38.751 points, compared to 38.806 points at yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index decreased against 6 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it fell against Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen, UAE dirham US dollar, Saudi riyal, Euro and rose against pound sterling.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt rose from EGP 49.27 to EGP 49.233 while the average buying increased from EGP 49.17 to EGP 49.23 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 53.82 to EGP53.91 while the average buying rose from EGP 53.71 to EGP 53.80 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 33.49 to EGP 33.75 while the average buying increased from EGP 33.41 to EGP 33.68 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt rose from EGP 6.86 to EGP 6.88 while the average buying increased from EGP 6.84 to EGP 6.86 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal rose from EGP 13.12 to EGP 13.14 while the average buying increased from EGP 13.09 to EGP 13.011 at the end of today's trading.

 The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt increased from EGP 13.41 to EGP 13.43 while the average buying increased from EGP 13.38 to EGP 13.40 at the end of today's trading.

 The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 62.71 to EGP 62.51 while the average buying declined from EGP 62.55 to EGP 62.38 at the end of today's trading.
