ABC Egypt’s retail deposits grow by 19.2% during H1-2024, recording EGP 16 bn

ABC Egypt's financial statements ended 30 June 2024, revealed an increase in the retail deposit portfolio at a growth rate of 19.20% and an increase of EGP 2.58bn during the first half of 2024.
The size of the bank's retail deposit portfolio was about EGP 16.04 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP13.45 bn by the end of December 2023.
The total corporate deposit portfolio increased by 10.08% and increased by EGP 4.47 bn during the first half of this year, reaching EGP 48.32 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to 44.32 bn by the end of December 2023.
The Bank's total deposit portfolio rose by 12.20% and an increase of EGP 7.05 bn during the first half of this year, registering EGP 64.83 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP57.77 bn by the end of December 2023.
The demand deposits increased with a growth rate of 3.67% and an increase of EGP 750 mn during the first half of this year, recording EGP 21.17 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP20.42bn by the end of December 2023.
The portfolio of Time Deposits rose at a growth rate of 18.28% and an increase of EGP 4.49 bn during the first 6 months of this year, registering EGP 29.04 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP24.55bn by the end of December 2023.
The saving deposits and certificates deposits portfolio surged by 9.66% and an increase of EGP 654 mn during the first half of this year, registering EGP 7.42 bn by the end of June 2024, compared to EGP6.77 bn by the end of December 2023.
