Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 25 December 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.03% to record EGP 483.113 bn compared to EGP 483.259 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.45% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 109.658 mn which represents 5.42% of the total trading volume today after 4.643 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.43% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.11% to reach 30.164 points EGX70 increases by 0.24% to record 8.297 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.21% to record 11.382 points.
