Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday,12 February 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.73% to record EGP 466.791 bn compared to EGP 463.408 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.17% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 401.993 mn which represents 11.51% of the total trading volume today after 10.603 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.43% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.33% to reach 29.661 points EGX70 decreased by 0.14% to record 8.345 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.02% to record 11.405 points.
