Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on wednesday,26 February 2025 with an decreased in the market cap by 0.62% to record EGP 473.727 bn compared to EGP  476.672 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.65% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 309.922 mn which represents 10.01% of the total trading volume today after 5.925 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.53% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.07% to reach 30.810 points EGX70 increases by 0.06% to record 8.697 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by   0.01% to record  11.981 points.
