Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday, 19 March 2025 with an decreased in the market cap by 0.19% to record EGP 478.173 bn compared to EGP 479.063 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.90% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 141.402 mn which represents 2.89% of the total trading volume today after 3.942 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.19% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.82% to reach 31.653 points EGX70 decreased by 0.94% to record 8.995 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.94% to record 12.431 points.
