Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 23 March 2025 with an increased in the market cap by 2.32% to record EGP 489.245 bn compared to EGP 478.173 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.43% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 248.864 mn which represents 8.16% of the total trading volume today after 4.407 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.35% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 0.81% to reach 32.022 points EGX70 increased by 0.85% to record 9.042 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.69% to record 12.466 points.
