Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 13 April 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.81% to record EGP 471.475 bn compared to EGP 475.327 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.24% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 118.268 mn which represents 3.66% of the total trading volume today after 3.599 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.25% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 1.18% to reach 31.174 points EGX70 increase by 1.74% to record 8.777 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.67% to record 12.293 points.
