ADCB, ABK-Egypt and FABMISR Fastest-Growing Banks in Syndicated loans During H1-2025

ADCB tops the list of the fastest-growing banks in Syndicated loans with a growth rate of 62.2%, while ABK-Egypt secured second place with 60.7%.
FABMISR ranked third with a growth rate of 39.9%, followed by BANK NXT and Al Baraka t in fourth and fifth places with 35.2% and 32.2%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.
QNB-Egypt, HD Bank, and BDC were also among the top 10 fastest-growing banks in Syndicated loans, with growth rates of 28.1%, 22.6%, and 11.1%, respectively.
First Bank’s list of the fastest-growing banks in Syndicated loans during the first half of 2025 revealed that Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» topped the ranking with a growth rate of 62.2%, Its Syndicated loans rose to EGP 10.38 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 6.40 billion at the end of 2024.
The list monitored the Syndicated loans of 23 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data. Results showed that 17 banks recorded positive growth in Syndicated loans during the first half of 2025, while 6 banks recorded a decline.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» came in second place, as its Syndicated loans increased by 60.7% to reach EGP 5.38 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 3.35 billion at the end of 2024.
First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» secured third place, recording growth of 39.9% to EGP 17.74 billion, up from EGP 12.68 billion at the end of 2024.
Bank NXT ranked fourth with 35.2% growth, as Syndicated loans rose to EGP 7.82 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 5.78 billion at the end of 2024.
Al Baraka Bank followed in fifth place with a 32.2% increase, bringing its Syndicated loans to EGP 9.75 billion, compared to EGP 7.38 billion at the end of 2024.
Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» came sixth, with Syndicated loans up 28.1% to EGP 44.55 billion, versus EGP 34.78 billion in December 2024.
Housing and Development Bank «HDB» took seventh place, recording 22.6% growth to EGP 5.24 billion, compared to EGP 4.27 billion previously.
Banque du Caire «BDC» followed in eighth place, as Syndicated loans rose by 11.1% to EGP 34.01 billion by June 2025, against EGP 30.61 billion at the end of 2024.
In ninth place, Arab Banking Corporation Bank «ABC» recorded 9.3% growth, with Syndicated loans climbing to EGP 2.32 billion from EGP 2.12 billion.
Finally, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked tenth, as Syndicated loans grew 9.2% to EGP 1.60 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 1.46 billion at the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned above are based on the independent financial statements released by each bank at the end of June 2025.
