Emirates NBD-Egypt, HD Bank and SC Bank Fastest-Growing Banks in Financial investments portfolio During H1-2025

Emirates NBD tops the list of the fastest-growing banks in financial investments portfolio with a growth rate of 89.3%, while HD Bank secured second place with 85.1%.

SC Bank ranked third with a growth rate of 51.8%, followed by ABK-Egypt and ADIB-Egypt in fourth and fifth places with 30.2% and 28.7%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.

BDC, FABMISR, and Alex Bank were also among the top 10 fastest-growing banks in financial investments portfolio, with growth rates of 23.8%, 23.4%, and 18.4%, respectively.

First Bank’s list of the fastest-growing banks in financial investments portfolio during the first half of 2025 revealed that Emirates NBD-Egypt topped the ranking with a growth rate of 89.3%, Its Financial investments portfolio rose to EGP 48.22 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 25.47 billion at the end of 2024.

The list monitored the financial investments portfolio of 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data. Results showed that 19 banks achieved positive growth in financial investments portfolio during the first half of 2025, while 6 banks achieved a decline.

Housing and Development Bank came in second place, as its financial investments portfolio increased by 85.1% to reach EGP 95.49 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 51.58 billion at the end of 2024.

Suez Canal Bank secured third place, recording growth of 51.8% to EGP 46.93 billion, up from EGP 30.92 billion at the end of 2024.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» ranked fourth with 30.2% growth, as financial investments portfolio rose to EGP 23.13 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 17.76 billion at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» followed in fifth place with a 28.7% increase, bringing its financial investments portfolio to EGP 54.03 billion, compared to EGP 41.97 billion at the end of 2024.

Banque de Caire «BDC» came sixth, with financial investments portfolio up 23.8% to EGP 103.07 billion, versus EGP 83.22 billion in December 2024.

First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» took seventh place, recording 23.4% growth to EGP 160.45 billion, compared to EGP 130 billion previously.

Bank of Alexandria «Alex Bank» followed in eighth place, as financial investments portfolio rose by 18.4% to EGP 64.65 billion by June 2025, against EGP 54.62 billion at the end of 2024.

In ninth place, Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» recorded 18.4% growth, with financial investments portfolio climbing to EGP 28.29 billion from EGP 23.91 billion.

Finally, Commercial International Bank «CIB» ranked tenth, as financial investments portfolio grew 18% to EGP 472.51 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 400.31 billion at the end of 2024.
