NBE, BM, and CIB are the largest banks receiving corporate deposits in Egypt
NBE tops the list of the largest banks receiving corporate deposits, capturing 27.97% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, and BM ranks second with a market share of 13.88%.
CIB secures the third place with a market share of 7.26%, and QNB-Egypt and AAIB capture the fourth and fifth places with market shares of 7.09% and 6.09% respectively.
FABMISR, BDC, and SC Bank are among the top 10 banks in market shares of corporate deposits in the banking sector with shares of 3.60% and 2.59% and 2.40%.
The First Bank list of the largest Egyptian banks in market shares of corporate deposits by the end of June 2025 revealed that the National Bank of Egypt «NBE» topped the list with a market share of 27.97% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector, as the size of its corporate deposits portfolio amounted to 1.72 trillion pounds by the end of June 2025.
The First Bank list of the largest banks in market shares of corporate deposits recorded the total corporate deposit portfolios at 27 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data was available by the end of June 2025.
Banque Misr «BM» ranked second with a market share of 13.88% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, as its corporate deposits portfolio amounted to 851.50 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
The Commercial International Bank-Egypt «CIB» secured the third place with a market share of 7.26% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector, with a total corporate deposits portfolio amounting to 445.62 billion pounds by the end of June 2025.
Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» came in fourth place with a market share of 7.09% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, as its total corporate deposits portfolio reached around 435.27 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
The Arab African International Bank «AAIB» ranked fifth with a market share of 6.09% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, as its total corporate deposits amounted to 373.91 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
First Abu Dhabi Bank–Egypt «FABMISR» took sixth place with a market share of 3.60% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, after its corporate deposits portfolio jumped to 220.99 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
Banque du Caire «BDC» ranked seventh with a market share of 2.59% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, as the value of its corporate deposits portfolio amounted to 159.18 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» came eighth with a market share of 2.40% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, as its total corporate deposits portfolio reached around 146.99 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» took the ninth place with a market share of 2.05% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, after its corporate deposits portfolio rose to 125.89 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
The Export Development Bank of Egypt «EBank» took the tenth place with a market share of 1.91% of total corporate deposits in the banking sector by the end of June 2025, as its total corporate deposits portfolio amounted to around 117.39 billion pounds by the end of the same period.
It is worth noting that all values and market shares mentioned in the above analysis are based on the standalone financial statements published by each bank by the end of June 2025.
