«CIB», «QNB» and «ADIB» are the top EGX-listed banks on the «First Bank» Credit Competitiveness Index during the first 9 months of 2025

«CIB» tops the list of EGX-listed banks on the «First Bank» Credit Competitiveness Index with an increase of EGP 101.91 billion... «QNB» secures second place with an increase of EGP 89.79 billion.

«ADIB» comes in third with an increase of EGP 40.21 billion, while Suez Canal Bank and «saib» claim the fourth and fifth positions with increases of EGP 30.44 billion and EGP 16.05 billion respectively.

The «First Bank» Credit Competitiveness Index for EGX-listed banks during the first nine months of 2025 revealed that Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) topped the index, as its total customer loans grew by EGP 101.91 billion during the period, reaching EGP 491.48 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 389.57 billion at the end of 2024.

The Index tracked the absolute increase in customer loan portfolios across all listed banks (12 banks in total) during the first nine months of 2025 and showed that all banks successfully expanded their loan portfolios.

The«First Bank» Credit Competitiveness Index measures the ability of EGX-listed banks to offer credit and loan products capable of attracting individual and corporate clients. The Index is based on the absolute value of the increase in total customer loans, which reflects each bank’s success in expanding its lending portfolio.

According to the Index, the total customer loan portfolio of all EGX-listed banks jumped by EGP 338.45 billion in the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 1.69 trillion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 1.35 trillion at the end of 2024.

«QNB» Egypt secured second place, with its total customer loans rising by EGP 89.79 billion in the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 455.08 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 365.29 billion at year-end 2024.

«ADIB–Egypt» claimed third place, after its customer financing portfolio increased by EGP 40.21 billion during the first half of 2025, reaching EGP 142.95 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 102.74 billion at the end of 2024.

Suez Canal Bank ranked fourth, as its customer loan portfolio increased by EGP 30.44 billion during the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 109.61 billion by September 2025, compared to EGP 79.17 billion at year-end 2024.

The fifth place went to «saib», after its customer loan portfolio grew by EGP 16.05 billion during the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 81.98 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 65.93 billion at the end of 2024.
