EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.733 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index fell against major currencies at the end of trading on Sunday 1 February 2026, where the value of the index fell to 39,733 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,781 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on Thursday.
The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its decline against the dollar, the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, the Saudi riyal, and its rise against the pound sterling, and the Japanese yen, the euro at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 46.96 to EGP 47.18 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 46.86 to EGP 47.08 at the end of the day's trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 6.76 to EGP 6.78 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 6.74 to EGP 6.77 .
The average selling price of the UAE dirham rose from EGP 12.78 to EGP 12.84 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt rose from EGP 12.75 to EGP 12.81 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal rose from EGP 12.52 to EGP 12.58 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 12.49 to EGP 12.55 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 64.73 to EGP 64.59 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 64.57 to EGP 64.44 .
While The average selling price of the Japanese yen also fell from EGP 30.78 to EGP 30.48 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 30.71 to EGP 30.41 at the end of today’s trading.
While the average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 56.24 to EGP 55.91 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 56.11 to EGP 55.78 at the end of today's trading.
