EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.944 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index fell against major currencies at the end of trading on sunday 8 February 2026, where the value of the index rose to 39,944 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,975 points at the end of last day’s trading on thursday.

The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its fell against the euro,  the Japanese yen, and the pound sterling, while it stability against the US dollar, the UAE dirham, the Chinese yuan, and the Saudi riyal at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 55.43 to EGP 55.55 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 55.30 to EGP 55.42 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen also rose from EGP 29.89 to EGP 29.90 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 29.83 at the end of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling rose from EGP 63.75 to EGP 64.01 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price rose from EGP 63.59 to EGP 63.83 .

The average selling price of the US dollar stabilized at EGP 47 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 46.90 at the end of the day's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal stabilized at EGP 12.53 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 12.50 at the end of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan stabilized at EGP 6.77 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 6.75 to EGP 6.76 .

While the average selling price of the UAE dirham settled at EGP 12.79 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt stabilized at EGP 12.77 by the close of trading.
