EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 37.584 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index increase against major currencies at the end of trading on thursday 5 March 2026, where the value of the index fell to 37.584 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 37.530 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on wednesday.

The rise of the Pound index came as a result of its rose against the euro, the pound sterling, the Japanese yen, the Saudi riyal. and its stability against the US dollar, the Chinese yuan, UAE dirham at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 58.44 to EGP 58.26 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 58.31 to EGP 58.13 at the end of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 67.19 to EGP 67.02 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 67.04 to EGP 66.86 .

The average selling price of the Japanese yen fell from EGP 31.96 to EGP 31.90 and the average purchase price fell from EGP 31.89 to EGP 31.83 .

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 13.38 to EGP 13.37 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 13.35 to EGP 13.34 .

The average selling price of the US dollar stabilized at EGP 50.19 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 50.09 . 

The average selling price of the UAE dirham stabilized at EGP 13.67 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt stabilized at EGP 13.64 .

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan stabilized at EGP 7.28 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 7.26 by the close of trading.
