EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 36.055 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index increase against major currencies at the end of trading on sunday 15 March 2026, where the value of the index rose to 36.055 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 35.964 points at the end of last day’s trading on thursday.
The rise of the Pound index came as a result of its increased against the euro, the pound sterling, the Japanese yen, the Chinese yuan, and its decreased against the US dollar, Saudi riyal, UAE dirham at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 60.68 to EGP 60.03 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 60.55 to EGP 59.91 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 70.32 to EGP 69.56 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 70.17 to EGP 69.39 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen fell from EGP33.08 to EGP 32.92 and the average purchase price fell from EGP 33.01 to EGP 32.85 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 7.64 to EGP 7.62 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 7.62 to EGP 7.60 .
The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 52.49 to EGP 52.58 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 52.39 to EGP 52.48 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal rose from EGP 13.98 to EGP 14.01 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price rose from EGP 13.96 to EGP 13.99 .
The average selling price of the UAE dirham rose from EGP 14.29 to EGP 14.32 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt rose from EGP 14.26 to EGP 14.29 by the close of trading.
