EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 36.298 points at today's trading
The Egyptian pound index witnessed increase against major currencies by the end of trading on Sunday 19 April, rose to 36.298 points compared to 36.236 points at the close of Last Thursday's session.
The rise of the pound index came as a result of its rose against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal , stabilization against the Chinese yuan, decline against the Japanese yen, at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar decreased from EGP 51.87 to EGP 51.79 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 51.77 to EGP 51.69 by the close of trading.
The euro’s average selling price decreased from EGP 61.11 to EGP 60.93 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 60.99 to EGP60.80 .
The British pound’s selling price decreased from EGP 70.28 to EGP 70.01 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 70.11 to EGP 69.86 .
The UAE dirham’s average selling price decreased from EGP 14.12 to EGP 14.10 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 14.09 to EGP 14.07 .
The Saudi riyal’s average selling price decreased from EGP 13.83 to EGP 13.81 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 13.79 to EGP 13.78 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan stabilized at EGP 7.60, as did the average buying price, which stabilized at EGP 7.58.
As for the average selling price of the Japanese yen, it rose from EGP 32.60 to EGP 32.65 , The average buying price also rose from EGP 32.54 to EGP 32.58.
