EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 35.691 points at today's trading
The Egyptian Pound index decrease against major currencies at the end of trading on Sunday 26 April 2026, where the value of the index fell to 35.691 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 35.757 points at the end of tranding last Thursday.
The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its decreased against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Japanese yen, the Saudi riyal ,UAE dirham, and Its stability against the Chinese yuan at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 52.67 to EGP 52.73 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 52.57 to EGP 52.63 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 61.59 to EGP 61.80 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 61.47 to EGP 61.67.
The British pound’s selling price rose from EGP 71.13 to EGP 71.37 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 70.98 to EGP 71.21.
The Japanese yen’s average selling price rose from EGP 33.02 to EGP 33.09, while the average buying price rose from EGP 32.96 to EGP 33.02.
The UAE dirham’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.34 to EGP 14.36, while the average buying price rose from 14.31 EGP to EGP 14.33.
The Saudi riyal’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.04 to EGP 14.06, while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.02 to EGP 14.03.
The Chinese yuan’s average selling price held steady at EGP 7.71, while the average buying price remained unchanged at EGP 7.70.
