EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 35.611 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index decrease against major currencies at the end of trading on Tuesday 28 April 2026, where the value of the index fell to 35.611 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 35.751 points at the close of trading yesterday,Monday.

The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its decreased against the US dollar, the euro, the Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen, the Saudi riyal ,UAE dirham, and Its stability against the the pound sterling  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 52.60 to EGP 52.89 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 52.50 to EGP 52.79 by the close of trading.  

The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 61.78 to EGP 61.87 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 61.75 to EGP 52.50.

The Japanese yen’s average selling price rose from EGP 33.06 to EGP 33.13 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 32.99 to EGP 33.06.

The UAE dirham’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.32 to EGP 14.4, while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.29 to EGP 14.37.

The Saudi riyal’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.02 to EGP 14.10, while the average buying price rose from EGP 13.99 to EGP 14.08.

The pound sterling,’s average selling price held steady at EGP 71.33, while the average buying price remained unchanged at EGP 71.18.
